I have worked at Chexy for over a year now and have learned so much from the amazing team. Chexy is a platform that allows users to pay rent with their credit card and earn rewards. At Chexy, I have contributed to various projects utilizing Next.JS, Firebase, TailwindCSS, and Typescript.

Chexy being a startup allows their engineers to put on many work hats. I being fortunate enough to do so as well. I have worked on over 70% of the products frontend while also implementing various other features. Some of which included the following:

• Developed a modular component library, significantly accelerating development time, and enhancing efficiency.
• Implemented a credit card fraud detection system that resulted in a potential savings of $60,000.
• Integrated an AI security system called Sardine to monitor user data and prevent fraud.
• Led a project to enable seamless translation between english and french across the entire product.

When I started working at Chexy I was a heavy front-end focused engineer, but that didn't stop me from wanting to learn and expand my knowledge base. Over the past year I have been challenged by my seniors to implement tasks that involve working with the backend along side with the frontend. I am grateful for my seniors and my ability to push myself out of my comfort zone.
